I like the Sanyo Eneloop rechargeables (currently 8 for $22.28 from Amazon). They hold a charge for months when they are not in use, which means that when I grab my backup camera that hasn't been used since last summer, it will still be functional.

GaFilk sounds like it was fun - maybe I'll make it there someday.
