It's almost like a new instrument.

I got a an AirTurn for Christmas.  This is a bluetooth pedal that turns pages on the iPad.  It works with ForScore, and it means I will be able to play sheet music that's more than a page long without having to stop and take my hands off the instrument to turn the page.

What I was not counting on is that it takes a little concentration to find the right pedal with my foot and turn the page.  It's almost as though I was trying to sing, play the mandolin and "play" the iPad at the same time.

Today's practice was a little rocky, but I think I can get used to this.  We will see.  Surely it is worth trying for a couple of weeks.

Also I think I'm going to have to do a mandolin-by-itself practice, a vocals-by-themselves practice, and a singing-to-the-mando practice seperately.  Whether I will have time for that on any given day is a question.  We will see.

I need to make set lists for QuarterTone soon.
