New Clothes
I have been a bit hesitant to buy clothes these past few months. My old pants are way to big for me (consequence of being hyperthyroid for six months or so.) But I have *no* idea what my new metabolic set-point is going to be, so I don't want to buy clothes that might not fit in six months.
However I have needed something that works like a hoodie but looks a bit more formal for a couple of years now. A cardigan was my best guess at what would fill that need. And I noticed that Land's End was having a 20% off sale, so I went onsite, sorted for tall women's cardigans, made my best guess and took the plunge.
Today it arrived and I tried it on, and it fits. In the meantime I am wearing some of my old pants that I couldn't fit in last winter, and they fit fine (though they are old enough that they may fall apart in the washer sometime soon, at least they work for now.)
It feels a little odd in the arms--it's not *tight* exactly, but hoodie arms tend to be quite wide, and this cardigan's arms are more fitted.
Here it is buttoned up--it can button all the way up the neck, as high as a cardigan. I am hoping this will give it a fairly wide range of temperatures to be used in
