2012 in retrospect

In 2012 I finished my first solo CD, _The King's Lute_.  This involved learning to record, mix and master.   While I think the next one will be better, I'm proud of this one.

I gave concerts at MarCon, Confluence, Con*Stellation and PhilCon.  I also attended GaFilk and OVFF.

I wrote--I can't get at my computer right now, but about 25 songs, including some pretty good ones.

I began practicing more seriously with the mandolin and octave mandolin instrumentals and recently discovered I stand to gain from vocal practice too.

I did some science editing work.

I put up a website with my online songbook, including lyrics, mp3s and sheet music for all the songs I have posted to date.

And I put a lot of my music on my iPad in hopes of making transporting it to cons easier.

I really enjoy your songs. I'm glad that you are doing more of them.

I can tell you that crowdfunding and audience interaction have made tremendous difference in my poetry writing -- and I was already an expert in that field before I started the Poetry Fishbowl project. I highly encourage you to explore further and see what it does for you.
