What I Did for Winter Vacation
We went to stay with the in-laws for Christmas. I had intermittent internet access while there, including a very clunky web-mail interface (though I wasn't sure I'd have any access at all, so I can't complain too much). My pants are not bankrupt but they are a little threadbare, so if there's something you want me to know about, e-mail me, or reply to this post.
I spent much of the time at the farm walking dogs--two Brittany spaniels and a Border collie. Sweet dogs, but very energetic. We repeatedly harrassed the wildlife in the south pasture. I have pictures (of dogs, not wildlife; those were mostly too fast and too far away for me to get pictures of), but not the gumption to put them up right now.
I also caught a cold, which really enjoyed the airplane ride home, and is downright snuggly today. It could go away anytime. Right now I can barely talk. I have some new songs I'd like to rehearse, but it ain't happening.
I got a new camera for Christmas, (after parting company with the dogs, alas; I bet I could have got better dog pictures with this little beauty) with which I am mightily pleased. Unfortunately I have wiped out the battery while playing with it (and working my way step by step through the options in the manual), and can't play with it until it finishes recharging. It isn't top-of-the-line for most things but it is WATERPROOF.
Long time readers of my journal will understand immediately why that is important.

Yes, but almost as important: does it float?
