(no subject)

I asked Kip if he would love me if I were a mermaid.

He said absently "Yes.  We'd have to live near the coast.  You could be a lifeguard"

And I said "I would love you too, with my cold fishy heart.  And yes, I would be an excellent lifeguard."

So that's settled.

Could you not be a freshwater mermaid in the local lakes and rivers?

I think it's all terribly sweet, though, anyway :-)

Well, yes, I could, if I were a freshwater or anadromous mermaid. Which would open up a lot more of the continent to our settlement.

Are you intending to become a mermaid anytime soon?

[identity profile] catsittingstill.livejournal.com 2009-12-06 07:10 pm (UTC)(link)
No. It was just a passing thought.

That's good, I think. It would make attending filkcons difficult.

If, however, you should wish to become a unicorn, my daughter has one whom she declares can turn other people into same. Just touch its horn.

There's an old saying "a bird may love a fish, but where would they build a nest?"

[identity profile] catsittingstill.livejournal.com 2009-12-06 07:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Lots of birds build nests on the water or at the water's edge.

Fortunately Kip is not a bird, so we wouldn't have to worry about it.

Such a practical guy, your Kip! That is so sweet!
