Oct. 14th, 2003 07:27 pmHmm. All the stuff on my friends' list right now about the Crush Meme (and specifically about its author selling the answers) is kind of interesting. I think I agree; it's a lowlife trick not to warn people in advance zie was proposing to sell their answers.
Next time I go take a quiz--I'll look at it differently, I think.
In other news, Saturday I elected to go hiking instead of canoeing; we ran into Andy (a colleague of my husband's) who was taking his dog Jake for a "walk" and elected to go along with them. Jake looks like a cross between a greyhound (conformation) and a doberman (coloring) and a german shepard (fur length), and he's in *very* good shape :-).
Monday--the mandolin lesson went well, but I'm thinking that most of the organization and drive in this interaction is going to be mine. Roy (my teacher) has a new piece for me every week, sure enough, but I think I'm going to have to be the one to say "this technique--I want to learn how to do it." Which means I have to go out and find sources for techniques I don't know but know I want to learn. Back to the library!
The Monday night Jam at the Fire House didn't happen because they're refinishing the floors. Pout, pout.
My back is doing a bit better today; I got three hours of housecleaning done because I knew Shannon (another teacher from the Carson Newman English Department) was coming over to play music. The house really needed it. Now it just looks like I'm slightly untidy :-). Shannon plays Appalachian Dulcimer and I play mandolin and we spent an hour or so trying out different tunes and exchanging music. She's coming back next tuesday. (chortle)
