Nov. 5th, 2003 10:27 amNot a whole lot going on :-(. My back is still pretty bad, so I'm spending a lot of time lying on the bed. When I want a change of scene, I lie on the futon in the Troll's Lair or on the carpet in the Brownie's office. I can play the mandolin (sort of) lying on my back--but I can't get the doublestops very well for some reason.
I've been re-reading various favorite books--_Day of the Dead_ and _Paladin of Souls_ at present. I won't spoil the plot(s) for anyone out there who hasn't read them, I'll just say that I find them detailed enough and layered enough that there's still entertainment in reading it when I know perfectly well what's coming next.
Shannon came over to play music yesterday. We ended up spending more time talking than we did playing because talking I didn't have to stand up for, but we did get a little playing in. Also Shannon (bless her heart) did a whole sinkfull of dishes for me so I wouldn't have to do them. May her flocks wax fat and her lands bloom fair.

I am taking it very easy. One of the benefits to spending a lot of time lying down is that I'm pretty much caught up on my sleep
