Back from FKO as of yesterday afternoon. I had a wonderful time at the con, as usual. Driving up and back with patternbuilder was so much fun it was much like two and a half extra days of con. On the way back, we stopped at Niagra Falls and I took many pictures.
Today I did the taxes. A bit of a comedown, I guess, but necessary. And it turns out that 1) the pdfs from the irs.gov website are the sort you can type into with the free Acrobat Reader (though I couldn't print them from there; had to save and reopen with Preview to print), and 2) we're due a big refund, and I feel clever for finding the deductions and credits that made it so. Plus of necessity I did a lot of filing and piles and piles of paper hit the recycle.
