You can see the smudges where I didn't get all the white glue off (most noticeable in the middle of the darkest strip (on the left). The three lines with tiny writing on the right hand edge are the white-glue-plus-sawdust trials. The sawdusty smudges at upper left (at the left end of the topmost putty line, for instance) are sawdust-plus-epoxy, which I mixed up when I had the epoxy for the whole surface mixed up. (I have to mix 3 ounces at a time because of measuring accuracy issues, so I don't want to be making several batches if I don't have to.)
