That was the decade that was...

In the past decade I

Lost a job.

Suffered a back injury requiring surgery.

Got married.

Recorded 2 CDs (Three if we count "I Promised Eli" which admittedly is not up to the technical standards of the previous two.)

Won 2 Pegasus Awards.

Moved four times, once clear across the country.

Survived Mom's death.

Lost another job.

Built a canoe.

Bought a house.

Finally saw a president I voted for actually win.

Organized and went on a week-long canoe camping trip in a foreign country.

Built another canoe.

The next decade contains things I can't imagine.  Here's hoping for more good, less bad, and a no-more-than-usually broken-down me at the end of it.

Wow, that's a lot of stuff. But a decade is a long time.

Maybe I'll try a decade summary when the library opens again after New Year's Day.

And I need to dig out "I Promiside Ely" and put it in the car with the Echo's Children CD's.
