One of my friends posted these things as part of a much larger piece.   I liked the larger piece and encourage you to go read it if you like.  But I liked these things; stuff from kindergarten that we would all do well to remember, especially as the campaign(s) close(s).  So I'm reposting them here, on their own.

We’re all in this together.
Sharing is good.
You shouldn’t hit people just because you’re angry.
Everybody has feelings (and dignity).
You shouldn’t be cruel to other people because they’re different from you.
You should listen to what other people have to say.
Talking things out is better than fighting.
You shouldn’t leave your stuff lying around.
If you make a mistake, you should admit it, apologise, and try to make it right.
To make friends, you must be a friend.
If you want to make a difference, you have to make the first move.

Something to think about as I listen to the election results and eat leftover Halloween candy. (No, I am NOT going to stay up all night; that would be insane; I have stuff to do tomorrow.)

And I *did* vote; I just voted like three weeks ago, so I didn't post anything about it today.  I hope your voting went smoothly and your vote got counted properly.
