Late Eclipses
Mar. 2nd, 2011 08:36 amSo one of the nice things about having a Kindle is I can pre-order books and have them show up--poof!--when they are actually released. So last night I began reading _Late Eclipses_, the latest book in the October Daye series by Seanan McGuire.
And a new song occurred to me.
( Which I hid behind the cut for mild spoilers )
Update: there is now an mp3 of Mayday if you would like to hear it.
Just for the record I will note that, like anyone else even peripherally associated with the filk community, I am vividly aware that Seanan is a filker of range and striking power, well able to write her own excellent songs (see latest demonstration here)--and my contribution is simple fangirl squee.
Also I'm not done with the book yet so no spoilers in comments please.
