This is just me saying I'm still alive.  I guess it has been a while since I did that.

I am working away on the album, doing teeny tweaks that end up taking much more time than I thought they would.  However I have discovered some good things.

1) I don't need a business license either for my small town or for my rural county until I gross more than 3K/year.  Which, since it's already June, is probably not going to happen this year (unless the new CD sells very well indeed, in which case I will bear up bravely under the misfortune) and is thus a non-issue for a while.

2) I don't need to collect sales tax until I gross more than 4.8K/year.  So similarly a non-issue for a while.  And if not, see above about bearing up bravely under the misfortune of getting the money I invested in this project back in so short a time.

I have received the album art and the little pieces of art that will be going on my web page and they are mightily cool.  Now comes getting the words laid out on everything, which will be happening in the next week or so in between album tweaks.

I have chosen a set list for my half-hour concert at ConFluence for my CD release.

And, um, watered my fruit trees, which were starting to look a little droopy.  And I would like to mention my pleasure that, on the fifteenth of June, I collected more than twenty peaches off the peach tree we planted two and a half years ago, which had on it, at the time of planting, ONE brave little blossom that didn't turn into a peach which was probably good because a whole peach might have pulled the poor thing over.  That little tree has come a long way and I'm very pleased with it.

The plum and cherry trees we planted one and a half years ago didn't fruit to speak of, but maybe next year.

I planted zinnias last year.  They are annuals but they dropped seeds all over so I have volunteer zinnias this year.  They're populating the flower box a little unevenly but are very vivid and cheerful all the same.  Also where I planted a wildflower mix last year I have Gallardia Gone Wild!  Which, unfortunately, are greatly favored by the local wasps, as Kip found out while mowing the lawn.
