Happy Equinox
Sep. 22nd, 2013 11:54 amToday is the Equinox (Autumn, for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere.)
The length of day and night are equal. But this is changing as rapidly as it ever does during the year. So I guess we could think of this as a time both of balance and of rapid change.
I can think of ways that aspects of both those things would be good for me. I have been troubled of late with sad memories that I would like to forget, or at least not dwell on; one could think of that as achieving balance, I guess. I also have this album that I would like to make rapid progress on (and, purely coincidentally, finish up around the time of the upcoming Solstice, more or less.)
I do love the Autumn--it tends to be the nicest time of year to be outside in my area. Hopefully in addition to the large amount of work I intend to put in on the album I'll be able to get some outside-time, perhaps canoeing and hiking now and then. I'm looking forward to autumn colors, to being able to hike in actual pants without regretting it, to a month or so when the house doesn't need a lot of minding to keep its temperature stable.
Happy Equinox, everybody.
