Fair Is Fair

 Keeping the Christ in Christmas is like keeping the Thor in Thursday.

If you want to do it, knock yourself out.  Have fun!  We all like different things and that is great!

But you have to do it on your own property, and on your own time.  You need to be aware that other people don't share your desire to keep Thor in Thursday; some of us think Thor is just not that relevant to our lives.  And Thursday is obviously for everyone who wants it, not just for Thor worshippers.  You can't demand that government endorse and support your efforts to keep Thor in Thursday.  

Unless of course government is helping keep Christ in Christmas, with Nativity scenes, and the like.  Then you absolutely *can* demand government support for keeping Thor in Thursday because the First Amendment says all religions must be treated equally.

And there are an awful lot of Thursdays.

Milestone (sort of)

 For those watching from home, I have finished a round of mixing.  And turned everything into mp3s, loaded it on my iPod in album order, and taken a walk with it.

Nearly every song has some little thing I want to fix; some word that is too loud or something.  But really, they're pretty good and pretty consistent.  I'm still insecure about the ones with strummed octave mandolin; now I worry I made everything too loud so none of it sounds loud.  But they are the best I can do at this point.

I will probably spend several hours tomorrow tweaking little things but I'm going to take the rest of today off.
