That's one reason I have a laser printer -- in addition to being faster and having bigger paper trays, a toner cartridge lasts for between 5 ad 10 thousand pages.
I do have an ink-jet, because I needed an all-in-one (for scanning) during a time when my laser printer was in storage, and it's nice when someone needs to print in color. But I strongly prefer using the laser.
My next ink-jet, if I need one, will be one of the bottled-ink kind.
