EPA Library Closures Continued

catsittingstillThe EPA library closures I wrote about on December 18th, 2006 are apparently now on hold, as of the 17th of January.
While this is good news, I'm concerned about how much may have been lost in the intervening month (!). I'm also concerned about possible permanent trimming of EPA librarian staff, and permanent closure some of EPA libraries.
I'm planning to call my Congresspeople again, to remind them of the importance of preserving the EPA's collections of information about the health effects of various chemicals, and to point out that we just can't rely on the Bush administration to do the right thing in that area.
