the McCain campaign apparently posted an ad, saying that McCain won the debate.

TheBigLie

Except that the debate doesn't even start for another 15 minutes.

Another lie? Or just evidence that the McCain campaign has achieved time travel? You decide.

Yeah, I saw that too ... the Washington post has a screenshot up - Wallstreet Journal, Wallstreet Journal, embarrassing timing! (Or well played)

Ha! Googling found me MSNBC, doing the same thing, only saying Obama lost:

As I understand it, it went up before McCain had said that he would be at the debate.

Wow.

Speaking as a member of the reality based community I have to say I'm a bit insulted by this transparent attempt to manipulate me.

The first one did, yes. The "Obama Loses Debate" one that Sybil linked to, I don't know enough about to tag the time.

The Minbari do say "claim victory in your heart, and the universe will follow."

I don't think they meant "claim it in the papers," but I suppose it's as good a substitute as any if you don't happen to have a...well, anyway.

Kind of puts Biden's misremembering of who was president during the depression into the shade a bit, doesn't it? I wish I'd known about this sooner.

evidence that the McCain campaign has achieved time travel?

Given the majority verdict, it's more likely to be evidence of paratime travel.

They'd make a good diptych, right? "McCain wins" on one side and "Dewey defeats Truman" on the other :-)

The McCain campaign demonstrates again that it emulates Eddie Izzard's toaster.

"And it liiiiies."
