I hurt my knee somehow yesterday.  I don't remember doing anything to it, I just remember noticing late in the day that it hurt.  And today it hurts more.  Which is to say that most of the time it hurts only a little but somehow I keep falling into an exaggerated limp when I'm not thinking about it, and sometimes (mostly when I'm changing direction) it hurts quite a bit.

Bleah.  I meant to ride my bike today but maybe I'd better take it easy.

I had a good time running a mission in Eve with a few friends, but stayed up till 1:00am, and forgot to take my anti-inflammatory meds before I went to bed.  Maybe that's part of it.  I will go take them now.  Plus I will go to bed earlier tonight :-) that will probably make me feel better.

Still... bleah.

Hope it feels better soon ... my back started spasming again the other day. I can hardly wait until my brain can be uploaded into a perfectly functioning sim. :-) On the other hand, the sim might be running Vista...

FWIW, it might not be an injury

It might be an early symptom of osteoarthritis, especially since you don't recall any injury. Keep track of how often, how long, and how intense, then the next time you see your doc, discuss it.

One of the classic symptoms - use it just a little too much one day, spend the next day or so in some pain. Or have a weather front with a quick drop or increase in the air pressure roll through, same thing. Depending on the extent of it, the pain may be mild to severe and may be of an aching nature.

who is currently dealing with a weather-related flare :(

:-) Bringing up the age-old question of the value of beauty vs brains.

Though I sure wouldn't mind being able to upload to a new body... I want the extra sturdy joints option.

I've got arthritic changes in my back as of 5 years ago or so, so it could be arthritis. I don't know there is anything that can be done about that, except anti-inflammatory meds, which I'm already taking, and staying active to keep the muscles strong to protect the joint.

Sigh.

There are over 150 different kinds of arthritis - has the specific type been identified?

Certain types of arthritis may be treated with disease modifying drugs, so if you've not seen a rheumatologist for a consult lately, it might be worth it.
