I am Cat Faber. Sorry about the confusion.
Sep. 4th, 2003 07:38 pmErrr. Ahem. Ladies and gentlemen (and those of other genders or dispositions) there seems to have been a mix-up. I'm sure Callie will be gratified to know how enthusiastically welcome she would be here in LJ, but I'm actually Cat. Don't feel bad; people mistake us for each other all the time. It's the height. And the curly hair and glasses :-)
I hadn't realized how strongly that carries through in text. ;-)

Date: 2003-09-04 05:08 pm (UTC)Apologies for the mistaken identity. I did originally think you were Cat (from your nickname, you know), but then thought you were Callie, but now I know the Truth.
So glad you're here, in any case!

Date: 2003-09-04 06:51 pm (UTC)Sorryyyy!!!!!
And yes, now we need to get together more than ever, do I ever owe you a dessert!
Re: eeeek!!
Date: 2003-09-05 05:01 am (UTC)I'd love to get together (how can I turn down the offer of dessert?). I don't (blush) know much about Eastern geography yet. Is Cincinatti far from Knoxville TN ?

Date: 2003-09-04 08:37 pm (UTC)Welcome to the madness! I'm Greg, and I've met you twice - once at Arisia, and once at FKO. Oh, and we've chatted (I am pretty sure) on filknet - I'm "GEM" there.
Hmm, and Tennessee is much closer to Virginia (Where I am now) than those other states on the Left Coast - this is a Good Thing for me. Are you going to OVFF? My wife and I are hoping to.

Date: 2003-09-05 05:05 am (UTC)Wow, it really is madness, isn't it? I'm going to have to find a way to deal with it efficiently, or it will eat my life; I can see this already.
I don't think we've chatted on filknet, seeing as I don't know how to get to filknet and I've never used chat, except way back when when there was some sort of type-in-realtime option on unix machines whose name I forget. But I wouldn't mind learning how someday.
Being close to the east coast is a good thing for me too. I wish it didn't entail being so far from the west coast, though. Sigh. Someone needs to invent low-energy teleportation. Soon.
I'm hoping to go to OVFF too. I think it's more or less in driving range now!

Date: 2003-09-05 05:36 am (UTC)And here I was being cute ... I thought the combination of your email addy and your homepage (both listed in your profile) would have given it away.
Not that I haven't tried to have Callie assimilated here as well *grin*
And, yes, I have been trying to put a limit on my LJ reading lately or it will take over my life!
