I took the clamps off this morning, re-fitted both decks and then started thinking about how I was going to glue them in. Which led to me deciding I needed to level the gunwales with each other (inwale to outwale) and the hull before I actually made with the glue. So I have spent much of the afternoon sanding the gunwales and using my rasp (which is rather small, and combined with a file, so it has no handle pe se) on them.
I don't think I'm going to get to gluing in the decks today :-(
I am thinking about going canoeing with Patience for an hour or two, though. Because I'm pretty much out of driveway putty and I just don't feel like crawling around under the house. Perhaps I will have more ambition after my snack.
