catsittingstillIn March 2011 Kip and I lived together in a house in eastern Tennessee we had bought 2 years before. Kip and I each have a car. Mine is different from the one I had in 1991. It has ordinary seat belts also. Dad seems to have gotten over the idea that I will smash into a tree or something.
In March 2001 I was living in a tiny duplex in Tigard (or Metzger, depending on which utility you asked) Oregon. Kip was living in Eugene, but we were planning to get married in August. I had a car that was different from the 1991 car. It had ordinary seat belts. I kind of missed the old ones.
In March 1991 I was living in Amarillo, Texas, in a garage that had been converted into a one room efficiency apartment, with two cats, Apollo and Sunshine. It would be another year or so before I met Kip. I had an actual car. Dad put really heavy-duty helicopter-type seat belts in it. I called them the passenger mechanical aptitude test, because I think I had one passenger in all the time I owned that car that figured the seat belt out for himself.
In March 1981 I was living in McNary Hall at the University of Oregon. I didn't have a roommate that year. I had a good road bike--that may have been the year I rode it 55 miles to the beach and back. My parents bought me a bike helmet after that ride.
In March 1971 I was living in a two bedroom house in Portland Oregon, with my mom, dad, and brother. I think I got my first bicycle that year.
