Well, hmm. It has been a few days.
I went to Atlanta to visit Alice and Marie and Beth, and not incidentally attended a wonderful housefilk down there at Dave and Signe's house, which is a great place for a housefilk. There was much wonderful food. There was much wonderful singing. I acquired many hopefully wonderful books. My new amp worked fine, though the line dangling down over my wrists will take some getting used to.
Then I came home, took Kip to the airport, and went down to celebrate Launch Day with Martin's Shop Class (their Launch Day--my canoe is still far from done.)
Then I came home, dropped into bed, and slept for thirteen hours.
I think I may have picked up a bit of a bug in there somewhere--my nose has been running ever so slightly and I've been more tired than usual. To the point that, while I am keeping up with the music, I have gotten almost nothing done on the canoe. I didn't even manage to take Constance off the car and put her away until Wednesday. Today I practiced everything once. This is fair amount of work in and of itself, since I dug out enough old music to fill two 30 minute hall concerts plus I have an hour's worth of main concert (which ought to be 75 minutes, and probably will be once we count in introductions and a little time for clapping, or at least an expectant pause to see if there will be clapping.) Also I did a three hour stint at the clinic plus did laundry. And stared thoughtfully at the boat, trying to talk myself into dookie schmutzing the stems. That last part didn't work and I'm not sure why.
And now I'm getting my second wind but I really should go to bed anyway.
Good night, all.
