I went down to Mary's house to work on music and had a lovely time.

We gamed Friday night until very late, then had kind of a slow and gentle Saturday but ran through three of my songs several times and had some nice talks about music and other things.  We went for a walk in the evening that got the blood flowing again (we mutually agreed on an amble, but at some point it ratcheted up, and I would have to say we were at about 85% of maximum walk by the time we were into it.)

Also S. is a wonderful boy, very affectionate.  I've never been particularly into kids (I like them fine as long as they're other people's) but after spending the weekend around him, I kind of see why people might want their very own.

And I have a new song about fiddler crabs, but I need to consult the Internet and learn more about them so I can tweak it to match their biology and behavior properly.  And I have another new song I wrote on the way home, inspired by the Friday game, but that one may or may not see the light of day.

Sunday we recorded (midi of Mary's keyboard, so we didn't need to run around shushing everyone inside and outside the house) accompaniment for All Your Songs R BeLoNg 2 Us, Swanmay, and Somebody Is Waiting To Eat My Soul.  I am quite pleased with how it went, and looking forward to getting the soundfiles from Mary.   I did record the room while we were working, so I will have some record of my vocal performances at the time, which I think will help me match interpretation-wise.

Then Wes and Mary were setting up for another game, but I, alas, had to leave.
