Next step in my ongoing attempt to produce an album!

I have a track up at Bandcamp.  This is an experiment on several levels.

1) I originally intended Common Ground to be vocal against vocal.  Having nobody to sing the second part, I never bothered writing words for it, and played it on the mando or octave mando against the first part (a bit of a challenge, as the first part is three beats per measure and the second is two beats per measure.)

Through the magic of multitracking, you can now get both, both parts sung together!  So this morning I went into the studio, recorded the first part, rewrote the second part so it didn't go so far out of my range, wrote the words for the second part, recorded the second part, and took a break for lunch.

2) Then I went into the other edit bay (which has a table big enough for the laptop) and worked on it in Audacity.  I used EQ on the voices, and added reverb to both parts (and did a lot more enveloping than I should have had to, and made a note to record less hot next time.  80 is too high; try 75.)  I listened to it on earbuds.  I listened to it on computer speakers, and I now wished to release it into the wild for other ears than mine.

3)  So I uploaded it to Bandcamp.  My first track!  I have decided I will have an "album" called "Trial Balloon" that will have versions of things that are not ready to sell yet.  For example I already know I want to re-record the second part of Common Ground because I was going out of tune toward the end.  Plus I may find combinations of words that make it easier to understand the two parts so I may be making some tweaks in the lyrics.

So if you're interested in listening to it, I'm interested in hearing what you have to say about it.  Too much reverb?  Too little?  Should have done something different to the EQ?  The main vocals need to be louder?  Softer?  Two sets of words on top of each other is hopeless; sing la la la on the second part?  Can't get to Bandcamp?

You can stream it there or download it in various formats at various bit depths.  If it is giving you trouble, let me know.
