2013: Ambitions

catsittingstill New Year's Resolutions and I have kind of a rocky history. A lot of years I just ignore the concept. Some years I've made resolutions which mostly didn't last the week. One year I actually had pretty good success. So I'm not quite sure which direction to dodge. But let me just lay out a few ambitions for 2013 here.
I'd like to make another CD. This will probably involve constructing a booth for recording, in addition to everything normally involved in recording, which makes it two big projects rather than one.
I'd like to do a good job at QuarterTone, where I will be International Guest of Honour. I'm flattered to be asked and would like to make everyone happy I came.
I'd like to do a good job at ConCarolinas, where I will be a Guest of Honor. I'm flattered to be asked and would like to make everyone happy I came.
I'd like to (finally) finish a case or box for the octave mandolin.
I'd like to improve my website, and put a wordpress blog on there. It's another thing to learn to do, but it shouldn't be too hard.
And finally I'd like to enter at least one not-quite-filk song contest or group. The FuMP, or something like the D&D song contest that a couple of my friends entered this year.
I guess I'd better leave it at that. There are other things I'd like to do: attend more cons, give more concerts, actually break even on The King's Lute, increase my playing and singing skills... but if I make this a jungle of ambitions I may not give sufficient attention to the big ones.
