Catching up

Got up at 6:30am this morning (Cat modestly polishes her nails) and did 2 loads of dishes, watched the cardinal for a while (saw a blue jay too; I'm getting the hang of the binoculars, I think), washed all the screens and racks for the food dryer and started another load of apples. I also checked out the Cherokee dam section of Cherokee lake; don't think I'm going to be canoing there much--lots of gravel and concrete. On the other hand, the Holsten river (below Cherokee dam) is supposed to be really beautiful and I'm thinking about trying that out, so I had a look at the launch ramp there.

But now I feel like taking a nap.
