The _I Promised Eli_ songbook is now uploaded; it is available at

If you decide to download it, let me know how it works out for you.

That works fine on A4 paper. No problems at all that I can see.

Very many thanks!

Works fine for me... I love my shiny new DSL line. It's more than 10 times faster than the old one for download. (Only twice as fast for upload, which is annoying -- it means I can't put high-traffic servers on it.)

The last songbook I purchased, Janis Ian's Folk is the New Black, was also a PDF download. I think it's the only practical way to publish them these days.

Cool. I wish I had DSL.

Got it in a little under 2 minutes, and it turned out just fine. Xpdf groused a little about minor formatting details but still put it up on the screen nice and sharp-like, including pictures.

Glad it worked. I'm not familiar with Xpdf; I basically made the pdfs by calling up the print dialog box for each file and choosing print to pdf, and then using Adobe acrobat to stitch everything together.

On the second pass, I discovered that the entry for Underground Rail on the Index page is not a link. Other than that, on semi-cursory examination, all else is fine.

Hmm. I'll see if I can fix that in Acrobat.

Took maybe two minutes to d/l on broadband here - looks fine on screen, though I haven't tried printing it out yet! Thanks.

I downloaded the songbook. It looks great. I appreciate being able to see the words and chords. I noticed Bbm chords in Ista's answer, Landless Lady, and Lien's song--all sung in D minor. Recalling an earlier problem, am I correct in believing that these are meant to be Bb major chords?

Yes, you're right. I will fix it as soon as I can (after the Ireland trip, I suspect; I just have too much to do in the next couple of days) and upload a corrected version. Thank you for bringing it to my attention.

Just saw this today... I did pass along a couple of copies of Eli at Conterpoint. (I wish I had known about the songbook to have in the folder of mps.) If I get requests, I will include it now.

Thank you again for the CD.
