Well, so far, there's only a wind advisory, mention of showers, but no heavy rain. The wind thingy doesn't bother me. Rain... a little more.

And I have my DrizaBone and my waterproof fleece kepi and decent shoes, I should be fine.

It's so very bizarre-- it seems to be hitting the ENTIRE west coast, through Oregon and at least as far north as Olympia... EXCEPT Seattle.

All my friends are going "crack! boom! Real lightning!" and we're sitting here quietly singing o/~ I'm sitting in a... rain shadow, raaaaain shadow rain shadow... o/~

It's wet and wild out there -- I'm glad that, beyond an expedition to Fry's for a new UPS and a couple of trips out to the recycle bin, I've been inside all day.

My main DSL line is down, but I'm managing (sort of) with the secondary.

DSL is a phone line, right? It may be a while before they're all repaired, I suppose. Best of luck to you with getting it fixed quickly.

Thanks -- as it turned out, the problem was on my end: a power glitch killed (or at least seriously confused) the ADSL modem. It's been replaced (found one at Fry's for $50), and things are mostly back to normal.
