Much sympathy. A friend of mine with a slightly older child than mine once (when I was complaining about all the diseases my daughter brought home) referred to preschools as petri dishes. I'm sorry to hear it doesn't seem to change as the age group rises...
I think it's the constant exposure to large groups of humans thing. Maybe worse among small children because some of the behaviors that reduce contagion (wash hands, wipe nose on handkerchief, cover mouth while coughing) aren't fully learned yet.
This is just particularly annoying because I was also sick in early Feb, also with something Kip brought home. Usually I only get sick once in the winter.
[old business] Thanks. I've gotten a bit of a break, but we're running down to the end of the term & we're going to be busy--the problem with architects as adjunct faculty is that all they know how to teach is studio, so the three credit digital fabrication course takes perhaps 4.5 credits of time. At least so far I've been able to get away with using the lab copies of Rhino & I'm an alpha test of the Mac version (for what that's worth), so I haven't had to pay.
