Things that come in the mail
Apr. 23rd, 2008 12:11 pmWell, Ramp the mimmoth is home.
Plus (chortle) this morning my copy of The Sharing Knife: Passage came in the mail. Finally!
Those of you who have been following our show may remember that she was very upset about missing FKO (her birthday party) and turned up missing after I'd mailed my mp3 recorder to my friend Donald to try out. Sure enough, she had crept into the box and smuggled herself to Donald's place, figuring that he would be going to FKO. Donald even sent a photo of her enjoying herself there:

She had apparently picked up one of Ozymandias's relations somewhere; that's not Ozy with her, because I know for a fact he was at home during FKO and somewhat put out that she had gone without him.
Donald refused to keep her, and stuffed her into a box with the mp3 recorder and a couple of books he was loaning me. The box hit the mail. Many days went by while I chewed my nails (over whether my mp3 recorder and the books would get back safely). Not to mention that Donald warned me that Ramp had come up with some sort of bribe to worm her way back into my good graces.
What might a mimmoth consider a good bribe, I wondered, not without some trepidation. A box of slugs and snails? Four cubic meters of hair combings so I could build myself a proper nest? Two pages of stolen credit card information?
Monday morning she turned up on my doorstep, bold as brass and without a trace of shame.

She had a much better idea of my preferences than I'd feared. And somehow she even got Vixy and Tony to sign it for me--without Tony, at least, ever knowing she was there. Cunning little creature.
So Ramp is home.
