I really just don't get how people can think that their marriages could possibly be hurt by a couple (or many couples) of strangers marrying each other somewhere. I mean, do they think it's like some kind of fairytale prohibition? Like Pandora: you will be happy just as long as you never, never, never open this box? Like Bluebeard's wife: you will be happy as long as you never, never, never enter this room? Do they think they can only be happy just as long as no one ever, ever, ever allows gay people to marry?
And in that case, hasn't Massachusetts proven them wrong already?
Sheesh.
